Personal Space

Today’s daily prompt asks this :

To what extent is your blog a place for your own self-expression and creativity vs. a site designed to attract readers? How do you balance that? If sticking to certain topics and types of posts meant your readership would triple, would you do it?

Since I’ve recently put my “blogging cap” back on, I’m trying to find a balance on what I post.  I don’t want every single post to be about freezer cooking. I want to post about a variety of things. Some personal, some not.  My personal life isn’t exactly exciting, so I don’t want to bore readers with too much of that either.

If posting about just certain topics would make readership triple, I probably still wouldn’t do it.  If I get bored writing the topics, readers would be able to tell and also get bored.

Finding the balance and posting more than just freezer meals and recipes is important to me. The original purpose of this blog is no longer the purpose for keeping it running.  I’m no longer moving all the time, now that we’ve settled in and purchased our home.
